MuchBetter verification

In the MuchBetter payment system, account verification is necessary to confirm the data you provided during registration. It gives the following advantages:

higher limits on transactions;

transfers within the MuchBetter system with 0% commission; and

free order with MuchBetter Mastercard (available to customers from SEPA countries).
The verification process consists of two stages which require:

Upload of a scan or picture of one of the following documents – passport *, international passport, driver’s license, or any other valid ID card;


Online photo – taking a selfie for identification.

* For citizens of the Russian Federation, verification by an internal passport is not required.



Step by step instructions on verification:


Launch the MuchBetter app on your smartphone and enter your 4-digit passcode.


To see your transaction limits, select the item, “Limits,” and click on the “Increase my limits” option.


Select identity verification and click on “Continue.”


Specify the type of document which you will upload for verification and your country of residence.


Take a photo of the document using the app – follow the instructions on the screen to do this.


Finalize the verification process online – this requires taking a selfie.

After verification of your data, you will receive a confirmatory SMS notification within 5 minutes.

The system has a second stage of verification which significantly increases the limits on your account. In this stage, you need to send a photo of your valid identity card to [email protected] (for the Russian Federation, a valid foreign passport or driver’s license is acceptable), as well as a document confirming the address (a bill for housing and communal services or a bank statement). The documents for verification of the address must not be older than 3 months.
