Skrill changes upload fees and crypto service terms
Skrill is updating some of the terms and conditions. Here are the major changes:
The current commission for uploading funds to your Skrill account is 1%. From 15th January 2020, for all customers outside the EEA* it will be 2.5%. This will become effective for all deposit methods and all non-EEA accounts, including VIP. The upload money fee for customers from the EEA countries will remain the same.
Skrill has introduced a new feature to the Cryptocurrency service: at the moment only the e-money balance in your account could be used for purchasing an interest in a supported cryptocurrency. But from 15th November 2019, you will be able to use your Crypto account for these transactions.
Also, the fee structure for the Cryptocurrency service has been revised: customers will pay flat €1.99 commission for transactions of less than €100. This change will also become effective on 15th November 2019.
From 15th January 2020, the commission for domestic Skrill Money Transfer transactions will be 2%. Non-domestic transfers, when the sender and the recipient are registered in different countries, will remain free. Please also note that all Skrill Money Transfer transactions will be subject to a currency conversion fee of 3.99%.
We will keep you updated on all further information about Skrill fees and new features.
