Paysafe Group and Worldpay Inc announced strategic partnership in the US market

On November 26, 2018 Paysafe Group announced strategic partnership with Worldpay Inc. in the US online gambling and sports betting market.

Worldpay Inc is a technological and payment service provider for merchants and financial institutions in the US.

  • The annual volume of payment transactions around $726 bln.
  • The company partners with more than 1400 financial institutions, 700 credit companies.
  • 400 000 merchants in 48 states. It also supports over 33 mln of debit cards.

Paysafe Group is the leader for online payments within gambling and sports betting sector. Skrill and NETELLER represent innovation products allowing fast and secure online payments.

The American Gambling Association has rated the North American sports betting market at $150 billion.

In early 2018, the US government repealed the PASPA law, which made it possible to legalize sports betting throughout the country. Previously, it was possible to legally engage in bookmaking only in 4 states. Now, the authorities of each state can, by their decisions, authorize or prohibit online and offline institutions to accept sports bets, as well as regulate the process of obtaining licenses for conducting activities in the state.
