Nvidia creates new tools for developers in digital worlds

American hardware maker Nvidia has released a set of tools for developers and creators in digital worlds. The set is focused on new AI functions and provides opportunities to create realistic avatars and accurate digital twins.

Creators utilizing the Omniverse Kit will be able to access the new upgrades. It is compatible with apps such as Audio2Face, Nucleus and Machinima.

The new set includes the Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE). This tool will improve building conditions of realistic digital characters and virtual assistants. Omniverse ACE will allow developers to create their own avatar apps on any engine.

This year, the first metaverse fashion week was held. Most of the reviews about the event noted the lack of quality in the digital environments and virtual assistants with which people interacted. For this reason, Nvidia intends to improve the user experience.

According to Nvidia representatives, the ACE cloud provides developers with access to significant compute capacity of data centers on GPUs. These resources allow developers to create digital characters that will interact with the environment, understand several languages and give reasonable advice and recommendations.

Nvidia’s experts believe that ACE-based avatars and assistants will help to improve interaction with game characters, as well as with various customer interfaces.

In order to demonstrate the new functions, the company has created two projects: Project Maxime and Project Tokkio. Project Maxime adds modern video and audio functions to apps for virtual collaboration and content creation. Project Tokkio allows using avatars that interact with the environment and give recommendations for improvements in customer service.
