Binance to launch blockchain educational program in Kazakhstan

Binance has launched a country-wide blockchain education program in Kazakhstan. This news was reported by representatives of the platform.

In order to implement the initiative, Binance Kazakhstan signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan and with the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

22 major universities of the country will take part in the project. In the first half of next year, training programs for university teachers will be developed based on materials provided by Binance Academy. Also, the training for the teachers will be held. Then an academic program will be created together with the university management and teachers who have been trained.

The teaching of students will begin in September 2023. By the end of 2026, it is planned to train more than 40 thousand specialists.

This initiative stems from an earlier meeting between Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, where they discussed cooperation in the field of crypto and blockchain.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin noted that the conclusion of a memorandum with Binance Kazakhstan is the practical implementation of previously reached agreements.

Zhaslan Madiyev, the head of Binance Kazakhstan, said that the company is serious about developing its activities in the country and the region.

Earlier, Binance received a work permit in Kazakhstan from Astana Financial Services Authority. Also, the National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to integrate its central bank digital currency on BNB Chain.
